A refreshing smoothie bowl that is particularly good if you have luteal phase defect due to its high Vitamin C content.
It’s so simple to make, all you need to do is throw all the ingredients into a blender and whiz it up.
1 cup of frozen mango
Half a cup of oat milk
3 tablespoons of oats
1/2 tablespoon of Maca powder
And for the topping:
Sprinkle of cinnamon
WHY IS IT GOOD FOR YOUR FERTILITY?
Mango: Rich in folate and Vitamin C, which can help to increase progesterone levels in those with luteal phase defect and assist with the absorption of iron
Oats: Rich in fibre, which helps to get rid of excess oestrogen
Maca powder: Small Peruvian root vegetable rich in thiamine (Vitamin B1), riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Vitamin B6, iron, calcium, zinc and fibre. There's evidence it has fertility-enhancing properties and in men, increases sperm count and motility
Cinnamon: Helps to regulate blood sugar levels, increase blood circulation and has anti-inflammatory properties
Almonds: Rich in Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) of which deficiencies have been linked to sterility, miscarriage and low birth weight
