Mango Maca Smoothie Bowl

It’s so simple to make, all you need to do is throw all the ingredients into a blender and whiz it up.

  • 1 cup of frozen mango

  • Half a cup of oat milk

  • 3 tablespoons of oats

  • 1/2 tablespoon of Maca powder

And for the topping:

  • Sprinkle of cinnamon

  • Almonds

  • Mango: Rich in folate and Vitamin C, which can help to increase progesterone levels in those with luteal phase defect and assist with the absorption of iron

  • Oats: Rich in fibre, which helps to get rid of excess oestrogen

  • Maca powder: Small Peruvian root vegetable rich in thiamine (Vitamin B1), riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Vitamin B6, iron, calcium, zinc and fibre. There's evidence it has fertility-enhancing properties and in men, increases sperm count and motility

  • Cinnamon: Helps to regulate blood sugar levels, increase blood circulation and has anti-inflammatory properties

  • Almonds: Rich in Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) of which deficiencies have been linked to sterility, miscarriage and low birth weight
